Boys checkered ties are great for this, if they are designed like a checkered flag seen at auto races. There are many different patterns and colors for boys checkered neckties, which are usually worn with a solid-color shirt. However, a shirt with the right design and color can be complemented by a checkered tie, too. Boys checkered ties should never be worn with a checkered shirt, however, unless the checks are the same size and color as the necktie.
